something else in my MW culture???

I have a couple Microworm cultures i keep around, one of which is quite old. I was checking on them to make sure they're ok as i'm not using them atm, and the old one has about 6 or so larger worms in it. They're about 1/4 inch long, clear/white in color, segmented body with a black head.

Anyone have any idea what these are? Where they came from?

I almost said fly maggots, except they don't have a black head. Adult fish would probably eat them. I wouldn't try them with fry though.

definitely not maggots. these are skinny and long, about the size that fry could eat at around a month old. But too small to get a photo of.

Edit: i guess i can get a photo of it...
