okay, I cleaned his tank, took out the snail, and now I have the AQ salt. Do I just put it in there? I know I need 2 and a half tsp. Do I dissolve it or just plop it in there?

dissolve first!!! always dissolve. Otherwise the salt can burn him. Add it slowly over time too, to avoid shock from the change.

keep it separate from the fish while it dissolves. It can cause problems if they come in direct contact with it. If the fish isn't in the tank then just plop it in and wait for it to dissolve. If he is in there just find a plastic cup you can clip to the side of the tank and poke a couple small holes in the bottom of it. Put the salt in the cup and then clip the cup to the tank. The salt will dissolve and pour out of the holes in the bottom but the chunks will stay in. It's really cool to watch!

What I'm doing:
I put 2.5 tsps in a big cup w/ water
Stirred it
Now, I'm letting it dissolve

Then, do I just dump it all in? Red is in the tank.

HEY, ALSO: I have a Marimo Moss plant in with him. Is that okay? Will the AQ salt harm the moss? TY

add it a little bit at a time. Like split it into fourths and add a fourth of it in 45 min incriments

These one word posts are really getting on my nerves...dramaqueen.

Red is way better. I'm feeding him bloodworms + some pellets. He's waaay more energetic and flares ^.^...his fins don't look better, though. :/ I'm cleaning his tank everyday. Do I still add the AQ salt? Hope he'll have healthy, colorful fins! (:)
