New fish, again

So I went to Petsmart to get some plants and cover for the big tank . . . obviously I couldn't walk out without fish. Particularly, bettas

Thought I might share a few pictures of the new additions. Three girls and a boy.

First female, my favorite in color: Aphrodite

Second female, the biggest: Hecate (can you tell which is her and which is her reflection? haha)

Third Female, the shyest and most easily stressed: Artemis

She's a pretty cobalt/steel when she's not stressed, but she hates the camera :P

And finally, the male, a HM: Hephaestus!! (yes, I went with a greek theme today)

The only times he would flare were at senior female Helena/Hera In the tank next to him, so I couldn't get any good flare shots. He's got some recovery to do, but that should hopefully come with time.

Love the new buggers, they are all so full of personality! The three girls are being worked slowly into a sorority, and Helena/Hera might join them, but she's a lot bigger than them at the moment. When Hephaestus gets bulked up a bit I'll probably put him and Aphrodite or maybe Hecate together in a breeding tank Wish Hades hadn't passed away. . . Artemis would've been perfect for him . . :(

almost! just with an E instead of an A after the H.

I named him Hephaestus because he just looks so ragged with his marbling and color that the name seemed fitting. In greek Mythology, when Hera gave birth to Hephaestus (god of forging&craft) she thought he was so ugly she threw him and he fell off mount olympus. Eventually he was paired with Aphrodite, who was disgusted by him and remained unfaithful lol

Thats why I want to pair him and my Aphrodite! :D

Hephaestus really fits his name with that fiery stripe. Hephaestus had a good heart thougH, and was a hard worker. Great looking group of fish, and I love the names!
