They get along with most community fish. Most males and some females will have problems with brightly colored, long finned fish though. (think fancy guppies) Try to avoid fish that are thin, fragile or have long fins, just because they may get involved in a catfight between the girls. I have had great luck with most livebearers, especially endlers, athough the fry are sometimes eaten. If your tank is heavily planted, which it should be for a sorority, they should do fine.

usually, when you put 5+ females together, it's called a sorority. and with the sorority, they like themselves. so the best to out with them if you REALLY want to is a snail or algae eater. Good luck!

I second the corry idea but do your research not all corrys are the same size. Also be careful with feeding the corrys as your Bettas will happily steal their food

i have one female in my 29 gallon community tank along with 7 zebra danios, 5 bronze cory cats, and 1 snail (so far >:3). she does like to nibble at the algae and bottom feeder wafers but she doesn't get too much. the danios also like to nibble on the algae wafers, but all the fish get enough to eat.

When stocking, you need to know your water hardness and pH so you can get fish that are suitable. :) After that, we can narrow down the list of what would work for you.

Rather than spring water, it would be better to use your tap water with water conditioner in it. It will be cheaper than buying spring water, and it has more minerals in it.

If you don't have a pH and hardness test kit, just call or google your local water authority, they should be able to tell you what it is. :)
