i feel stupid lol

i went to petco today and bought live plants thed only issue is idk what to do they have a black plastic think around the bottom and some weird stuff am i suppose to take that stuff off i hope someone knows what im talking about

lol you mean they are potted? the stuff they grow in is called rock wool. if you have substrate in the tank already you can try to pull as much out as possible and plant it in your substrate. if not just leave it in there.

It depends on what plant? Java fern does not need substrate.

idk what there called one says betta plant @ 5.59 on the receipt the other is a plant that have very skiiny long leaves and it was 5.99
