New here, but I've been lurking for a bit. I thought I'd come out of hiding this week. We currently have two betta boys, Jekyll a multi-colored crown tail, and Ghost a delta tail. I'm not sure what color he is, marble maybe? We've had Jekyll for six months and only recently acquired Ghost.
I got into betta keeping as a way to help connect with my youngest daughter who has Autism. We care for them together and the boys have been a blessing. They've given her something outside of herself to connect to. She has a hard time with people, but apparently not fish
They make her smile and that makes me smile. Already she wants another, but trying to find room, and get my husband to agree, has been a bit of a chore. He has worries that we'll have a house full of fish before too long and he may be right lol.
Anyway, it's been great to lurk on these boards. There are some gorgeous fish here and a wealth of information. Thanks!
