So that means the babies die in horrible conditions before they get good homes?

I didn't say that. When I went to Petsmart last weekend, there were three people buying the babies. :(

Because they were complaining that they wanted adult betta's along with me. It has been almost 7 months since I saw an adult HM at Petsmart

You should have been at my local quarium store today they had a beautiful halfmoon, and he was so happy too. He even made a bubble nest in the cup he was in!^_^

ooooh so you mean it's sad for us betta lovers? Because we want the adult ones?

babies have a lot of personality from what i can tell. they have so much energy and everything. my last betta fish i got a couple of weeks ago died within a day after getting him. i had got him at walmart and that was the worst mistake. he was pretty sick and he was really lethargic and everything. i went to a petsupermaket and they told me that getting any kind of fish at a department store like that was a bad idea because they do not take care of them like a pet store would. but, i think petco has the healthiest fish compared to the other pet stores i've been to. but my betta has it's color in and it's bottom fin is getting big like a male's... so i'm guessing he's a boy.. but i'm giving him another month or two to see how it gets. my baby betta has a blue body with red fins. it kind of reminds you of a halfmoon, well to me. but, we'll see!
