He's doing really good. Changed his water this morning and added another tsp of dissolved Epsom salt. Still active and adorable xD No changes in his belly from what I can see.

I'm worried it could still be parasites though, considering he is having no issues swimming at all.

Should I treat him with Maracyn and Maracyn II while doing the Epsom salt?

Since there are no other symptoms its hard to tell, but if its internal parasites you should just add anti parasitic meds to the epsom treatment, if its external raise temps to 85f and change to aquarium salt :)

Just a reminder, wear disposable gloves if possible when working with rescues so you don't catch anything from them. Also don't cross contaminate your healthy fish as a just in case measure :) Wash your hands well too after messing with his water.

(I know you're careful but it can't hurt to remind everyone, especially new people who are just beginning to rescue bettas who might be reading this thread.)

He's a cute fish though wolfie. :) BTW- what does Fus ro dah! mean in your sig?

I just saw this thread and her bettas problems look similar to mine. Someone mentioned poking his belly with a needle DDD:

Twilight - Thank you! I am very careful not to cross contaminate. Never knew I could get something form him though ._.

Fus Ro Dah is a "shout" in the game Skyrim. Paarthurnax is named after a dragon from the game because he's a dragon scale betta, so I thought the phrase was appropriate xD

personally, i wouldn't poke his belly with a needle. :I if you haven't treated him with any medication yet, start treatment with parasite meds. that's just me...

I hope he turns out to be OK in the long run. Good job at saving him from Wal Mart
