is one and a half gal. tank big enough?

So I have a one and a half gallon betta cube thing, and I'm wondering if that's big enough for my female? Also if it is should I get a sponge filter and a small heater for it?

well for long term i suggest just getting a 5-10 gallon, if money is an issue 2.5 is kind of okay.

A 2.5 gallon would be best/easiest to maintain proper heat. The elite brand heater is really good and they make one for up to 5 gallons.

1 gallon is fine! I use them all the time and my fish are perfectly happy. As long as you heat it and do 2 water changes a week they work great.

+1. Whilst I prefer bigger tanks for females, as their short fins mean they have no trouble swimming and are consequently pretty active, a heated 1.5 gallon is not a bad home at all. :)
