Question Cloudy water

I did some WC's today and as I am looking at their tanks, I am noticing they are ALL cloudy/amber tinted. For the one, I figured it was because its a sandy bottom and I kicked up alot of debris from the snail but it never cleared up. Then I went and looked at the 2 in the kitchen and they are also pretty cloudy. I did the 10G 2 days ago and the water is clear. My mother said the town is having a water issue of some sort. Should I be worried about the 3 fish in the cloudy water? They seem to be acting normal and I don't think they issued any health warnings about it for human consumption.

hmm it happened to mine when I pulled a few plants out of the tank. cleared up in about two days though...some are bacteria blooms, green cloudy are algae blooms. I had sandy bottoms for a while and debris usually clears up pretty quickly. Did you test your water?
