and changes in Phaical appearance.
how big his home is.
How often you change his water.
temperature.
Nitrogen readings. Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate
PH?
Aproximate age
and...Illness history

If it is Lymphocystis, he shouldn't be in much pain since they don't seem to change in behavior unless they have multiple ones that get in the way of anything that normally moves. There really is no cure that I know of, so just keep his water clean and see if the disease carries itself through to the point where it's no longer a problem. I wish the best!
