Hello there!
Here's a quick little introduction. I've been lurking on these forums for a few months now and boy do I wish there were such thorough and helpful forums for all of my hobbies. That said, I've recently rekindled an interest in bettas (we had a veiltail in the family community tank when I was growing up) and having so many dedicated betta lovers in one place has definitely fanned those flames a little bit.
I work from home and my pets definitely keep me sane. We have 3 cats and 1 ball python and I added my first betta to the family in March. Since then I've gone from 1 tank and 1 betta to 4 tanks and 4 unique personalities. Living close to 3 pet stores certainly doesn't help. Putting an animal with such intelligence and personality into a dirty little cup just breaks my heart and it's mighty hard to avoid the walls of cups that just sit there languishing.
Enough about me! I look forward to participating on these forums instead of just lurking as before, and I gladly accept the risks associated with dallying with such enablers
