Fin rot?

Hey there, I'm new to, but I have had a few betta when I as a kid. Right now I have a male and female crowntail, not planning on mating them though. I'm a little worried about my male, Iggy, because his fin looks smaller in some places than it was. He was in dirty water for a little bit, I had asked a friend to take care of him while I was away but they did not do a very good job. My female, Rosa, is in a separate bowl. I just recently got her and she has been kept in clean water.

His coloring has not gotten paler, in fact his coloring is brighter than when I got him. I have cleaned his water and taken all of the decorations and gravel out so I can keep an eye on him better.

Anyway, I'm posting a current picture of Iggy and if any of you could help me that would be awesome.

Good food and clean water. And perhaps a heater suitable for the tank he lives in. He looks like he'd have minor fin rot if anything, but that's it. Nothing to painic about!!

Thanks! I'm really grateful! I've put a little aquarium salt in his water and he seems to be doing better. I'm looking into heaters, do you have any suggestions?
