Getting a Baby to eat

I got one of the baby bettas from Petco, and it ate a bit of food while still in the cup it came in, and shortly after I introduced it to its critter keeper it ate a bit more. That was late last night. I haven't seen him eat anything today, and he's hanging out in one of the bottom corners. It still looks so skinny! Is there anything more I can do to encourage him to eat? I crushed up a couple of pellets and they are floating right over him.

see if you can scoop him up in his cupand feed him in there, I do this with all my babies. They are very good at swimming in themselves.

I've heard you could cover the Food with Garlic Juice and a bit of water.
It would enhance the Smell in Water, and Make it Taste better.

Cool

How small it he? Most fry have been raised on live food. He should at least like frozen brine shrimp, and if he is big enough all my Bettas love blood worms!! I have never seen a fish turn down frozen foods...

Jeff.

Pretty tiny still, he (or she) has made it through the weekend so far. I will maybe go by the petstore and ask what they feed them, and get some of that. I've been crushing up pellets into almost powdery bits so far.

Cup also sounds good, so Tadpole can see the food better. Is the garlic juice good for babies or is that mostly for adults?

Try doing what I did, I just wet the tip of my finger and stick the brine shrimp dust to it and she chased the finger and ate of it :)

Now she eating pretty much anything I give her(7 weeks old + -) but 95% of her diet is still brine shrimp

Is this something I could purchase at petsmart or petco?

Not sure if you can really tell about how old this one is from the picture, but (s)he seems to approve of the new heater.
