Getting my betta to eat

Ok so I'm treating my betta for finrot, so I'm going to forego all the tank info. It's all in hand.

But my fish doesn't seem too interested in food, or at least more in recovering and taking it easy. Is there any way to get him to eat because he probably needs to?

I'd say just keep offering food, but take it out if he doesn't eat it within 5 minutes. Offer a few times a day to give him a chance.

I wouldn't offer anything like blood worms or krill because he might just start holding out for that instead of his regular food and it'll take a ton of time to get him switched back over.

He'll eat when he's hungry.

OR, you could get some Garlic Juice and try to feed him. It enhances the Smell and Taste for the Betta. They seem to find it "Appetizing".

I'll keep trying to get him to eat, I mean it was only today I noticed he was sick and ever since I treated him with anti biotics and added the air pump he's perked back up (he's been mopey lately and now I know why). I think it was the plant causing the water to become polluted, that or the water I used to fill his tank back up after it evaporated was tainted.

He's still taking it easy but he swimming more now so I'll try to time my feeding with when he's nearer the survice to make it easier for him.

I've been worried sick about him all day, well for a couple days.

They can go off food for a month and still be ok, although I start to panic when they don't eat for that long. I agree with the above posters but I wouldn't sweat his not eating for a little while yet.

The clean fresh water changes will have him feeling better soon I hope :)
