is he cold?

I have 2 one gallon tanks. Each tank has a 7.5 watt heater in it. The sticky thermometer on the tank is at about 78 but my one guy likes to hover right over where the heater is buried under the rocks. Is he cold?? Or does he just like that one spot?

I think he likes that spot. 78F is a pretty warm Temperature.
Does he look like he's cold? Example: Clamped Fins, Lethargic, etc.
If he does still want a warmer Temperature, just try to get it to 80F.
78F-80F is actually the Best Temperature for Betta Fish. ;)
