Talking say hello to my two boys :)

hello,

I am new to this site but i finally got pics of my two boys!
the red and purple on is named fabio... he is about 3 years old .. he's my old man and loves to flare at me every time i walk by him.

The blue one is domanic.... i have had him for about 4 months now and he loves to take pictures. He tries to flare but would rather just swim around and keep me company.

Both very beautiful fish and i wuv them both... more pics of them and their tanks to come ... let me know what you think.

here are the two tanks ....both one gallon tanks from the pet store.
fabios is older and has the purple top.... domanic's has the black top...

both have the barrel so they can go inside and sleep and both have plants for added privacy and decoration.

just cleaned domanic's tank so it's cleaner then fabio's ... have to clean his up.

do you do partial water changes?
100% changes can cause shock and be too stressful for your bettas

well for fabio i feed his pellets ... we think it might just be the rocks in the tank. They are very small and hard to clean so that combined with left over food might cause it. I just took about 1/2 the water out and changed it for fresh water and now it's fine. Next time we wash his tank we will change the rocks out and scrub the remaining large rocks and see if that fixes the issue.
