Question Mold? (pics)

So my aquarium finished cycling and all that, but I've been informed that what I though was algae might be mold (cue dramatic music).

Do any of you have experience with this, or any idea if this might be a mold issue? If so, do you know how I might get rid of it? I tried looking this up online, but results were fairly underwhelming.

Some of the green stuff on sand

The Black stuff on plants

Some more green stuff

Thanks in advance for the advice.

It looks like algae to me. I've noticed in some tanks at the store even, sand and finer gravel tends to get the green algae "blanket".

Mold, usually happens when bacteria is built up. I found it only in my still water tub for my fry, when the water level dropped (and the surface is humid) and it was spots of black mold. I cleaned it out, of course and haven't had a problem since. But this tub tends to have stuff remain as a film on the sides, so that wasn't a surprise to me.

Do you turn the sand now and then?

As for the black on the plants, it's black algae... I have it on my fabric plants in one tank.

Nah, I didn't know it was necessary without fish. Which actually doesn't make sense now that I'm thinking about it...

Throw a few cherry shrimp in? Mine very quickly take care of any unsightly gunk, even off the plant leaves.. except for diatom buildup.
