when you fill your tank....

I have 2 one gallon tanks for my guys. For some reason I have it in my brain that the water needs to sit before I can add it to the tanks. Is this just something in my brain, or is it true. I think I read it somewhere years ago when I tried having fish. I do use a water conditioner even though I let the water sit.

Aging is not necessary with modern conditioners which work instantaneously.

I adjust my tap to the right temperature, add conditioner and fill.
