Soaking pellets in garlic?

I bought a new betta a little over a week ago and he is still refusing to eat pellets. He loves bloodworms, but i know they are unhealthy as a staple diet. Ive heard that soaking pellets in garlic would make them more appealing. Does it actually work?

It works for some people. If the fish knows you will give in and feed it a bloodworm if it does not eat, it will continue that behavior. Don't feed it anything but pellets and it will eventually eat them. If that does not work and garlic does not work, try flakes.
