My "pick my pairs" thread

I love the idea of using one thread to ask for your thoughts on all the fish I am wading through so I am borrowing the idea.

What are your thoughts on this girl?

I've seen better.

What is your goal? What do you want to breed for?

I'd like to work on a line of light colored fish with the butterfly pattern. Ideally, pinks, light purples, creams, sky blues etc.

Thanks for answering my post Mr. V. Glad you are back! Do you have any giants ready to go?

What are her flaws? What would I look for in males to improve her?

Just her fins overall don't stand out to me.

If you want light fish I have a lot of nice fry from the male in the avatar growing out *0*

I think she was supposed to be some sort of white but her breeder didn't pay attention to the wash. If you want to breed her there's nothing that I would consider her non-breedable if she was paired to a good male.

The avatar male is a beautiful fish but I am looking to breed giants. If your fry are giants I would happily take some off your hands!

I did notice her red wash. Would that be beneficial to breeding pinks and purples do you think?

But Evilvog's fish are reds.

These are not giants but they are from imports and imports are rather large IME.

That particular male recently passed as did his sister but they left a pretty good mark in the fish world with two big spawns.

Yes, I am not wanting reds at this time. I'll keep an eye on your posts Mr. V, and if you end up with big enough fish for my program I'll will have you pick me out a few. Perhaps I can find a nice half giant or two for your offspring.
