I give up trying to figure out his tail type! (Please help!)
So...I have never really been sure what tail type my Aurora is. There was no label on him when I got him six months ago--so they sold him to me for $3.99. The more I try to guess tail type, the more it drives me nuts! I would absolutely love if someone on here might be able to tell me. I keep waffling between a Halfmoon or Delta. I always assumed Halfmoon...but now I'm not so sure. Thanks in advance! (sorry for poor pictures. He never stays still long enough).

Now: (Pay no mind to the chunk in his tail missing. He started tail-biting. Gerr!)

A halfmoon Betta would have a 100 degree caudal spread when flared. Which it looks like this Betta cannot do. It is either a delta or super delta depending on how close it gets t the 100 degree caudal spread

I would have to agree and say that he is a beautiful Delta/Super Delta.

The third pic is the most I have ever been able to get him to flare. He is such a sweetheart that he never flares. I have yet to get his gills to flare out...and show me his beard. Won't even flare to a reflection. Odd, no?

Thanks all for the input! I was thinking delta... because, as Mo mentioned, not seeing a full spread.

Only 100? I thought it's 180 degrees, lol. That fish is prolly around 100-120 degrees.
