its literally the brain being constricted. The body puts too much water around the brain (forgetting the reason why at the moment) causing the giant pressure and pain of a migraine. They also last longer than a half hour. Most of the time they come with sensitivity to lights and sound, you generally end up in a dark room with no noises and an ice pack on your head until the meds kick in. If you look at a light, or hear a loud noise its like a pulse inside your head that can dang near knock you on your knees. Sometimes they come with nausea and in worst cases people actually vomit.

A friend's daughter used to get migtaines with dry heaves. She would go to the Dr and get a shot of demerol and go home and go to bed. The room had to be completely dark and the house had to be quiet.

I take Black Cohosh pills. They're natural and they relieve PMS .. I only started getting it real bad from the birth control I'm on and have my monthly fits at Matt for no reason (he's actually surprisingly very understanding and we laugh about how bad it would be if HE had PMS since he freaks out at things like his games and when things fall on the floor).. Anyway, I forgot to take them for a few months despite my phone reminding me too an this month I did and I noticed a difference in my mood. :) I got the pills at the drug store for like 2$ marked down out of their planogram!

Definitely migraines. And since mine coincide with my period, that, too.

I would honestly have to say migraines, pms, and uti's are the worst thing about being a woman. I honestly don't know what's up with the pms. I didn't have it for the longest time and now it's back. -_-'
