what do you guys do with your bettas after?

i am currently in the process of reading about breeding bettas id like to breed my own but only in like 1 year or 2 till i move out and get a better place with more space for my fish :P
but i was wondering what do you do with all those bettas after when they are all grown? ...cause obviously i wont keep over 50 bettas in my house :P
but also i feel bad cause there are so many bettas out there who need help and who are mistreated ....should i really breed bettas?is it normal to feel this way?

Many breeders sell some, keep some or take to a petstore.

No you need to ship if your want to breed. It's the only way you are going to find all your fish good homes. If you are not willing to ship I would say don't breed.

yeah, it increases your market and chances of getting rid of all your fish. Its actually really easy to ship fish without them dying

I don't ship. However, I also don't breed on a large scale and most of the bettas I keep are rare enough that buyers are usually willing to drive over to my house and pick the fish up.

I also have a reputable fish store that has offered to take any fish I don't want/can't sell privately.

Shipping does make things easier and opens you up to a larger buyer base. However, it's not completely necessary.

Just about every single fish in the pet store got there by being shipped. Bettas ship better then most other types of fish.

Yes you have to do it right.
