Hole in dorsal fin

Hi everyone! :)

I've noticed that my little guy, Fantasia, has a small hole in his dorsal fin. I'm guessing that it may be a fin blow out from flaring too much at a mirror by his tank, even though I keep it there for a maximum of 5 mins. Would it be best to do anything for his fin in case of any infections? Is it nothing to worry about and its best to let it heal on its own? Thanks for your advice in advance!
(No more mirror for now) :)

Aquarium salt and keeping his water nice and warm should do the trick. :>

Okay. Thanks a bunch.
Do I keep the AQ salt in his water until the hole is gone or is there a certain amount of time to allow it in the water? Do I have to change his tank and put more salt in after a certain amount of days?

A picture is included to confirm whether or not the hole is not supposed to be there. :)

So water changes as normal to keep his tank extra-clean, and add more AQ salt only after a water change since the old stuff can't evaporate out. a hole that small will likely heal up very quickly. =]

You don't even need AQ salt if you don't want to bother with it. API Stress Coat and clean water will keep any infection at bay (especially clean water). Feeding him a good high protein diet will also help fin regrowth.

If you use AQ salt, 14 days maximum.
