Spitting out food?

Today I packed my fish to give to a friend for the month that I will be away.
He was dancin infront of the glass as usual, it was also feeding time, so I gave him some NLS small fish formula. to my surprise he spat every single one of them out after chewing on them. I gave my girl the same thing, and she ate them just fine. I've never had him do anything like this, he always ate his food. Since I'm sending him off today, I'm a bit nervous :/ could this just be a change in mood or is he going to be sick? no changes in behaviour what so ever.

Maybe he was just full? o.O
Sometimes I have to fast Buddha or change his main food diet only because he grows bored of it

good point :S I over fed him two days ago by accident (those NLS pellets are just too darn hard to measure out)
but I had him miss a meal yesterday and fed sparingly last night....
Oh well, he's stuck with NLS for a month wheter he likes it or not I guess.

He'll probably be fine -- males tend to be a bit more picky/stubborn about food, even if it's the same stuff they've eaten before, whereas girls will nearly always gobble up everything.
As for travelling, I've seen it wig 'em out in the past but they're usually okay again within a few hours.

All the ones that I've had do that occasionally, it seems to happen more with the larger pellets? (sometimes the brand I have are different sizes, some are slightly larger/smaller than others)
I'm glad that mine aren't the only picky ones. :)
I hope your guys settle down and have a nice "vacation" with your friend. :)
