Is he sick?

Ive noticed a lot of weird things about my fishy friend recently.
1. he doesnt seem to have much energy. he just sits on the bottom of the tank.
2. he isnt eating. usually when he eats he attacks his food, and i move it around and make him chase it, like a game/ real life hunting simulation. now when he eats its not with the hootspa/attack he usually puts into it, he just bites it. (i feed him freeze dried blood worms)
3. overall, he is lethargic.
4. his body looks weird. it doesnt look like dropsy, but weird. i drew a quick picture of what it looks like from the top on paint, just to give you an idea.
is this normal?
id tell you what the water temp is but i lost my thermometer. im assuming around 70 degrees.

What does his poo look like? Does it look like he has lost weight? For the poo, is it white, irridescent/clear and stringy, with broken up poo?

70 is a bit on the chilly side of life for a betta...

It is... I've seen worse. But the "thin" body has me thinking of a few things... Bad nutrition, or parasites. Either one combined with cold water can be pretty nasty.

Do you feed him anything else other than freeze dried blood worms?

You can try a few things:

Try getting a 2 gallon+ tank, he might want more room to swim around.

Get him a heater and a thermometer to monitor his water temp. the water he's in now is a bit cold, he should perk up with warmer water.

Get him silk plants (plastic can really tear him up) and some places to hide and explore. Those floating Betta logs can be great, though sometimes they take awhile for the fish to get used to them.

Try a Marimo Moss Ball, PetCo and PetSmart sell them. PetSmart is cheaper but they are still like $7, a little pricey but I have 3 of them and my fish love them.

Use some API Stress Coat+, it'll help alot in making him feel better. He could be stressed out a little and unhappy with his tank.

For food you can try Aqueon Betta Pellets (i love those), or New Life Spectrum Betta pellets/ Small Fish Formula. Try getting him some frozen Bloodworms or frozen Brine shrimp, my fish go nuts for those, but don't feed either of them to your fish more then acouple times a week.

I hope some of that helps out.
