Good pair?

Hello.

I was just wondering whether or not this would be a good HMPK pair for breeding

Well, he has a bit of spoon head, and she seems to have a nice top line. His edges on the caudal are pretty round, and so are hers, so that wouldn't fix anything. His dorsal could be more broad, and she has a thin dorsal as well. Are they siblings? IMHO you could find a better female for him.

I'm not sure if they are siblings but I would guess that they are. They are I'm the same breeder and both are the same age.

Thank you for your input. Can you help me find a good pair for under 40 dollars?

Are you looking for one specific color? Or does it matter?

Vigorously looking for both. Contacted a few of my sellers, I'll let you know what they respond. Not a whole lot to look at on aquabid lately. xD

Both have great form, and with the right female with crisp caudal edges and smooth toplines, you would have some phenomenal fry. Look at how broad those dorsals are. *drool* This is a newer breeder, so definitely keep an eye on him for new stock. I've emailed and asked what females he has available, I'll let you know what he says.

Mo, if you want to stick with whites, here's a decent female hmpk- http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti...hmp&1340127686

Broad dorsal, parallel anal. The only thing I see as a flaw is her bent branching towards the top of her caudal. That male you posted from Xman has nice straight branches, so she'd be a good match for him. Since the female's form gets passed down to the fry more so than the male's form, her broad dorsal would render some great looking fry.
