New Bettas!

These are the two bettas in the house.

Tidal is mine (blurry picture) only thing to kind of show the colors. Purple/Red. Had for a few days now.
Henry is my sister's... Hers is all blue. Had for about 3 months now.

Are these are both VT's?

Hi! They're nice VT fish! Nice names!!
(friendly suggestion though, fill the bowls up! They don't have enough water and maybe slip a heater in there so they'll be more active and flare their gorgeous fins.
I only see a lazy tail on my VT when he's sleeping, he always has it full and showy)

Bowls are filled higher now. Pictures were taken when we first got them, we wanted to make sure they weren't jumpers!

The temperatures are fine in the bowls without the heaters. It is so hot in the rooms where they are, that it keeps their water at the level they should be!

I have a log decoration in mine, he is constantly peaking out at me from inside it! He loves it!

Okay!! Just wasn't sure. A bowl topper you can try is a bit of chicken wire held with an elastic band. Super ghetto but efficient! Thanks for clearing that up :) Yes, with summer hitting all of Canada except Newfoundland, I bet your house is nice and toasty! I'm in my flannel pj's right now :<

Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, it's really toasty lately. We placed our bettas in the warmest rooms too, so that always helps!

I am getting a 10 Gallon tank shortly anyway, so it will be split in half to house two Bettas (Tidal and another which I will be getting shortly, which will be housed in a bowl until the tank is completely ready) and I will be able to have a heater in it then. It will be ready for them before the winter!
