A beautiful adoption, two rescues, and an impulse buy!

Today I had the distinct pleasure of adopting JBosley's wonderful super delta, Oki. :D He is an absolute sweetheart and I'm so pleased I've been entrusted with his care. I also went out to bring home a planned rescue today-- one somehow ended up being TWO (don't even ask), and they are both safe at home with me now, on their way to recovery. While at Petsmart picking up some supplies, I caught sight of the new halfmoon selection for the first time and kind of-- accidentally-- bought a DT? Oops.

Anyway, Oki first.

Oki is kind of the sweetest thing ever and loves pushing the marbles in his tank around with his nose. (He's also HUGE, oh my god.)

Along with him, I was also sold a new little keeper and a heater, which is Rescue #1's current place of residence. This is Ripley; I was told he was a veiltail but IMO I'm pretty sure he's a crowntail who's either chewed off all his rays, or had them bitten off by someone else. He's a little on the skinny side and very shy, but he seems active.

Rescue #2, Arro, is slightly worse off. He's skinny, pale, lethargic and clamping-- at the moment I have him in a warm hospital tank in a quiet part of the house to see if he'll colour up and unclamp a little. He's also missing a big chunk out of his tail, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of infection. I'm not sure what his prospects are, but at any rate I'm glad I brought him home-- he swims well and I'm hopeful for him, anyway.

And finally, THIS little beauty. This is Auton, the little gem I found at Petsmart-- he appears to be a mustard gas HM DT. I'd always seen DTs (both halfmoon and otherwise) as exclusive to People Living In The US, and also People Who Use Aquabid (two groups which I am not a member of), so needless to say when I walked in there looking for a keeper and saw his gorgeous self, I might've gotten hearts in my eyes. Auton, unlike his 'brothers', is very healthy and happy, and I'm very glad I found him.

And that's it! Today has been a day full of tank set-ups, traveling, and a lot of water spilled all over me/the floor/the cat. For the record, these boys bring my betta numbers to 12, which means I'm officially filled up (!!) for the first time, at least until I can get my potential sorority tank cycled and running. I am ready to sleep for about 7 million hours now.

@JBosley: He is such a lovely (gigantic) boy and he seems really happy. <3 (I really hope so! Right now his colouring looks like it'll turn into something reddish-purple-- I've been sort of hovering worriedly around his bowl for the past few hours, but he's basically giving me 'mom, go AWAY, I'm FINE' looks at this point.)

@Laki: He is SO handsome, man. I'm loving watching him swim. <3 There was also a cellophane HMDT there who I had to pass over-- nearly killed me. (And thank you! Hopefully all they need is a bit of TLC.)

The one guy may just need some time to adjust. I'm guessing the ammonia in his cup was quite high. If that is the case, he should unclamp and color up over the next few days (the last one I got from petco was a CT but most of his points were gone and his ammonia level was literally off the chart)
