Fish can get quite bored need some new idea's for him.

That can be done on the cheaper side. Any newbies wondering I'm a bit of a veteran here and my betta Lelouch is doing fine but he's a tail biter and crazy....He's been pulling threads off his silk plant so I wanna get rid of it and give him something new. I saw a bunch I loved on Petco and I'm looking at Petsmart. I also wanna get him a cave (he's in a three Gallon jar with more then enough room) but it can't be too big...I wanna use hamster tubes to give him something new to look through. If anyone has a set up with those I'd love to see pictures. He seems happy but he can also be quite pissy...

HI Arashi! Where have you been? The teen lounge is kinda missing something without you! X(.

I've heard ping pong balls? IDK how good that would work because last time I tried Josh's side of the tank was flooded with this weird white stuff. It didn't seem dangerous though...

anyway, I also tried leaning my ipad against the glass and playing a YouTube video of crazy colors that captivated them. My parents thought I was nuts. XD

Hey Neil! Been roleplaying and drawing like crazy. XD I sort of took a hiatus from Bettafish.com cause I knew the temptation.

Hmm...I dunno about ping pong balls but the bottle caps sound like a cool idea.

I also RP online, also on Zetaboards, but my stuff is usually Elder Scrolls based. There's plenty of RPers out there, you just have to know where to look XD

I don't RP:) But sounds fun.
Re: fish, I have a VT that is quite high maintenance and requires a lot of entertainment, was a major tail biter. And I have a work schedule that does not allow my constant interaction with him.
But here's what has worked for him:

1.Live plants, he loves them-Even if I don't rotate them he still never gets bored of playing in the roots.
2.Flare time- I give him a bit more than the usual recommended time with a small mirror outside his aquarium.
3.The small caves at petsmart work well, and I am a believer in the beta log- I have one for all 15 of my bettas and they all spend time in there.
4.My laptop screen-saver outside his tank is useful when I'm not using it.

Lastly, I've heard some have used a lavalamp outside an aquarium, which I have not tried but sounds intriguing.

Good luck!
