Question anyone wanna be a friend and help??(:

ughh... i have purchased 3 heaters trying to find one that wuld reach 80 degrees so i can breed my bettas they r all adjustable and all say they will go to 80 degrees but my thomomater only says it goes to at the most 78 can someone mail me a heater that goes to 80 for a 10 gallon?? if so id really appreciate it even if u needed it back after i was done id mail it back to u just pm me if so thanks!!!

Hmm, odd. Have you lowered the water level to 3-6 inches? I have a dinky heater that heats better when the water level is that low, and it heats 82, without it being on maximum.

yeah thanks and il ldeffinatly try that but i dont think itll work because it wasnt even heating the tank earlier i had to drap a preset on in there just to keep the betta warm

Odd! What brand are you using? And were they new? What wattage? I tend to use a 40 gallon heater for a 20, and 20 for 10, and so on.

Hey, do you wanna trade? I have a 50 watt adjustable heater that heats up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. You want to trade for 2 of your non - working heaters?

Move to texas my tank is staying right at eighty i havn't seen the heater light on for days.
