I currently have around...zero fish of any kind at the moment and haven't for the last 5 years now. OTL
BUT! I want to. And I
plan to!
Just not until next month at the least. |D
I've owned bettas before, males and females. I got'em from petco, petsmart, and Walmart and even had two given to me as a random prizes at a fair once (irritated the crap out of me that they were doing it, too - everyone does NOT know how to care for a betta). |D They've all passed on due either to my lack of knowledge - or from old age.
When the last male died I didn't get another. But, for the past few days I've been eyeballing all the pretty types and subspecies and such and now I find myself rearing to get back on the Betta-bandwagon!
Now, initially I had planned to hop on here and attempt to pinpoint a breeder in my area (Illinois, Chicago - to be somewhat exact) - but I have since calmed down since then and thought things through:
I need to set up my tanks first.
lol I'd be completely irresponsible of me to just buy a fish without it even having a home waiting for him/her (again). |D
I've always kept my fish in a tank with colorful rocks and fake colorful/realistic plants...
No longer.
I want RL plants this go - RL everything! I just have absolutely no idea what types of plants and things I want in the tank...
yet.
I'ma get there.

Er...yeah! No impulse fish buying for me this go around! \o/ I have the tanks...I just need to dig them out and clean them. ^^
I'm excited - which is why I couldn't wait to post all this crap here NOW instead of when I've actually dug out the tanks and bowls and set the stuff up somewhat. |D
...and this is where I stop talking and get to lurking! \o/
