I'm not kidding, I was like that proverbial bad doctor as I was contemplating betta surgery by tweezer "OMG, I NEED A STIFF DRINK BEFORE I TRY THIS!"
Happily, everyone has survived so far, except the nasties in the QT tank. And Chicory has been loving the betta log I got him by way of apology for A) Infecting his home with creepies and B) Attacking him with tweezers and clove oil.
I'm having problems seeing anything moving in his tank proper today. I think I'll do another close to 100% change come Friday (day before I leave on my big holiday!) and hope that the plants will be the only things left standing in there by the time I get back the Tuesday 10 days later. If it checks out clean, I'll bring him (and his log) back
