Two problems with two different fish

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning for 8 days, during that time I was going to leave my bettas and have my mom (who will be watching our house) feed them one time only mid-week. In preparation I started doing water changed last night. I noticed one of my boys (Grumps) had a swollen left eye, he was acting completely normal. So I looked on here and added 2 tsp/gal to his water. I'll do another 100% change tonight. If I leave it like that do you think he'll be ok the 8 days? Or should I get a betta sitter? Also this morning I woke up and a different male (Oscar) has bright red edges on some of his fins, it was not like that at all last night. I'm thinking fun rot for him. I'm going to start him on aq salt, 1 tsp/gal and have my sister keep him to do 100% water changes daily.

Anything else I need to watch for or do??

Housing
What size is your tank? Grumps - 1 gal, Oscar - 2 gal
What temperature is your tank? 78-80 degrees pretty consistently
Does your tank have a filter? Yes for both
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? No
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? No

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon betta pellets mostly and supplement with blood worms and daphnia each once per week
How often do you feed your betta fish? Twice daily, morning and night

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Weekly
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? They are both in NPTs, although Grumps has more plants than Oscar. 50% for Oscar and 25-50% for Grumps. And both had 100% water changes last night
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Aqueon betta safe and API stress coat plus, and a plant fertilizer

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?
No.
Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Grumps - left eye swollen and cloudy looking, looks a little better today, Oscar - red edges on his tail and pectoral fins
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Neither have had any behavior changes
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Grumps - last night, Oscar - this morning
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Grumps- I added 2 tsp/gal of Epsom salt to tank last night and will do 100% water change tonight and add Epsom salt back in, Oscar I haven't treated yet but will do 100% change tonight and add aq salt at 1 tsp/gal.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Neither one
How old is your fish (approximately)? I've had Grumps for a few weeks and Oscar for about 1.5 weeks, but they are both fully grown

Hope someone comes along that can help, but think from what I've read if you use salts you need to do the 100% water changes daily or maybe that's only if you use Epsom salt which is what you need for popeye.
