Live plant dilema (broken heater)

I don't know if I need to quarantine them, or what. I am a little angry ( by little I mean ) SOMEHOW my nice shatter proof heater SHATTERED without me ever dropping it, or dropping something on it. (Considering my scale for weighing small animals also "broke" magically, and a heater disappeared... I am starting to doubt the coincidence...)

I almost let my baby fry go in there... So I had to move him completely to a bucket of new aquarium water >:( AND he no longer has a reliable heater. ARGH! AND my live plants were in the poison water, living well....

Do I need to quarantine or what? D:

I would say quarintine just to be safe. SOrry for spelling stuff incorrectly.

I can't think of anything in a heater that would poison the water. It wasn't in there long enough for anything to corrode.

what ARE in those heaters?

It was probably like that for a few days, guessing by the stuff that was all over the bottom of the tank x.x I quarantined them anyways, then put them in the 10 gallon with the baby and everything seems fine.
