Question Plastic Tubs

Several of my acquaintances have used large plastic tubs for breeding and storing-over-winter goldfish. I was thinking it would be a cheap, less fragile alternative to breeding in glass aquariums - once set up with proper filters and so forth, and the rounded corners would make it easier to collect fry.

What's your opinion on using well-rinsed plastic tubs for raising bettas?

I don't see a problem. I know a lot of breeders use them until their bettas start to show aggression and need to be separated.
