Betta swimming weirdly

He doesn't really spread out his fins. I tried putting a mirror in front of him the first day he got here and he did nothing lol. They told me it keeps them active to do it sometimes. The bottle I have says 1ml per gallon so that's what I pour into it. Also, yes the bubbles stick all together in one corner of the tank it's getting pretty big now.

Betta's are very curious fishy's and often get a jolt of energy to swim like everywhre, and for the most part, they love to watch how we interact with them, the more you pay attention to him, he will start to flare, open his fins really wide, out of exitement, and that is natural it's what a betta does to show aggression, or exitement when they are looking at antoher betta, they will show aggression,

but with you it's for (yayy, I am happy, with someone who loves me look) they actually respond the way a dog does they will do a wiggle dance from time to time, and when they blow bubbles they are actually showing it's time to mate, but that does not mean you want him to do that.. so keep watching and observing his behaviour and he will do the same:)

Yes that is a bubble nest, showing he wants to mate.. Natural if he is an adult")

I have always heard of they make a bubble nest it means they are happy too or really like their home. Bettas are awesome I just love my Perseus and also welcome to the forum its a great place to be and you can find so many answers to your questions here...you can always use the search at the top and just put in like a word or two and what you would like to know and it will show some links for you to check out.
