Micro worms

I was just wondering if betta frys can live off of Micro worms until they can eat pellets/flakes.

No. They need larger foods aswell. Microworms just aren't enough

Ideally Microworms, some other small food, BBS, and another larger food for the fry such as grindal worms

CAN they? Well perhaps... But is it good for them?? Really the only reason that I feed them to my fry is because I have so many of them, and when the fry are first free swimming, all the fry can eat them. Otherwise I would just feed BBS until they can eat larger food. Variety is better nutrition for your fish....

Jeff.

I have 4 spawns fed with only microworms in the past, none of them survived. They stopped growing at one month of age and became very weak.
My first successful spawn is 2 months ago using bbs.
What i observed is they won't survive with mw alone.

That is why I like to mix up what I feed my babies. I believe if you feed several different things, they get more balanced nutrition.

I start with microworms, then move to bbs and daphnia and I throw in hikari first bites every now and then along with normal foods.
