"stress stripes" doesn't necessarily mean they are stressed. Some less colorful females may always show them until they've flared for some time. It may also mean that this individual female is more docile/peaceful/submissive. Though stress is often the cause - whether less suitably water condition or afraid of something.

Either way, unless she is not active and not eating, it's nothing to be concerned about.

Okay thanks everyone! I hope it means she is docile, then she would be good with the other girls :)

Is making a sorority hard? Like, what happens if the dominant ones do not accept the stripy submissive one? Do stores take them back or do you guys keep them anyway?
Sorry I'm hijacking :./

Well I've not introduced yet but from what ive researched, there'll be an alpha and there will be nipping at first. They will more than likely have little minor bites out of their fins/tails but I must watch them CAREFULLY and remove anyone that starts a full on fight. Some females can't live with other females. I'm kinda hoping for the best because any that cannot live in the sorority I have to return, I don't have any extra spots for a heated tank and it'd be unfair for me to make them live like that when I know better.
