so i went a way for the weekend and got home late last night... i have or had a beautiful half moon male betta named goose. so last thursday i fed all of my bettas a yummy treat... brine shrimp. so i put them in the bowls and they didnt even seem to notice them, a couple of them were eating them and loved them! others just watched them just swim around and somtimes take a nibble at them.. but my goose wouldnt even try them so i fed him a few pellets instead.
now that im looking at him he has lost a ton of color on his body, now he is like a dark pale tanish color... he also seems to have a terrible white fugi growing on the top of his head... also some major stress stripes but what i think happend is that the brine shrimp ate his tail... because his tail is in shreds but there is nothing really in there except for 2 really soft live plants and glass rocks on the bottom...
there is no more briine shrimp in there either, they were gone when i got back.
i have no heater except for the winter, i dont know the PH, the tempurture is 79, i feed him HBH betta bites, no tankmates or anything else except the plants..
so can brine shrimp eat fins and tails?
what kind of fungi can this be?
why is his color deteriating?
can he be saved?
i dont know how to post pics so if i figure it out ill post some...
his water is also looking kind of cloudy at the top as well...
please help i dont want to lose him!
