What a little TLC can do!!

A month or so ago, I got my ten gallon divided tank up and running. That meant that I could get a second betta! I decided that an orange one would be best, because I LOVE orange bettas, and one would look lovely next to the copper super-delta that I have now.

I went to the nearest place to buy bettas, and low and behold there were two pretty vts with orange fins and brownish bodies. I picked up the more lively of the two, and brought him home.

After a few days, a little treatment for finrot, and a 1 gallon jar (I was quarantining him for awhile first before putting him into the divided tank) later...he's red! My new fish was never orange at all: just badly cared for.

Shows what a little TLC can do!

Smaugstark now:
