Ted tried to die today

It was last night, not today, but you get the gist..

Odd title, I know, but here's the story (sorry no pictures)

I got home from work at about 6pm and I have APA Pool at about 7 so before changing to some comphy clothes I decided to check my 3 tanks to make sure everyone's ok (something I actually don't do often enough) and everyone was fine, and everyone got a small pinch of food

I come home from Pool at about 11pm and gather up some clothes to toss in the wash and on my way to the laundry room I pass Ted's tank and I see a mass movement so I drop the clothes and rush over to his tank to find him pinned under the Anubias that's been in his tank for months now. Apparently a root had grown very long under the gravel and he swam under it and he had the most fearful look on his face. I don't know if he pinned in the flutter of motion that I saw or had been under there for a while but I lifted the plant and the root had to be like 4 inches long and he finally swam free and went into his cave. The look in his eyes was serious though. I never knew I could see emotions in a fish's face, but he had a look of pure terror. I switched the anubias to my larger tank and gave him one of my new microswords and he's much happier LOL

They love to try and kill themselves. Jumping out, getting pinned under things, getting into places they aren't supposed to go. -_- I'm glad Ted is okay though. :)

Agreed xjen. Like the one time that Rosso got spooked and did a nosedive into the gravel. Sorry he scared you like that, Aurie. Bettas can do stuff like that at times.
