Black line on new female betta

I just bought this female (and a few more) because they were only a dollar at petsmart and I wanted to see how my female betta Isabetta would do in a sorority setting. I got this fish (calling her Merrill) because of her green eyes and the green highlights in her fins... I saw the line but didn't know what to make of it and I thought you guys would know.

Just what in the name is this?

Ehh maybe. She has a lot more green on her top fin then the others (I know its hard to tell in this picture) so maybe she's a marble and thats just the way she is.

It's just so straight though so I thought it might be something else.

Does she act oddly? Darting, scratching, lethargic? If you want to be safe, I would add some aquarium salt for 2-3 days, no more. If it shrivels up, changes, or anything like that, it might be a parasite. Keep in mind I'm paranoid, so you might not want to do that. It might just be color.

I suppose it could be natural coloring but I am also thinking many a parasite, althoug nothing that I know of looks like a black line

Well now that the pecking order is established more or less I wouldn't say she acts oddly though I'm keeping my eye on her.
