My plant is melting help!

I lost my kompact to melting i will NOT lose my cardinal how do istop it.

Fertilizer? Root tabs for planted, liquid for floating...

My floating java ferns were not looking too happy (der, perhaps because they were just floating...), then I added some liquid fertilizer and they perked back up. Root tabs also made my non-aquatic mondo grass go crazy whilst it was planted. A quick Google search also suggests adding fertilizer to prevent/reverse melting, or changing substrate (to something with more minerals/nutrients) if you're that dedicated to your plants.

What's your set-up look like--in case fertilizer isn't quite what your plant needs?

sand substrate the cardinal is to the left. I also have a red mellon swords, narrowleaf chainn swords two tipes of rotala and wisteria. I probaly mispelled something...

how is your plant set up, the light you use and how often do you change water...? Also temperature?
