Any advice would be appreciated.
-I have a male VT Betta in a 10 gallon tank, cycled, about 78-80 degrees and filtered. I bought the lil survivor from wal-mart about a year ago... Good looking guy - anyway.
When I awoke this morning he was laying lifelessly around the bottom, thought he was sleeping funny at first... with his body slightly turned to the side and his nose kinda sticking up towards the top of the tank.
-First, I threw some worms in and he did not move - next I turned the light on (top) and no effect either.
-Then I tested the water stuff... no ammonia, no nitrites and the nitrates were around 20. He is normally a very active guy - swimming around high in the tank like he should be. He did move when I put the net in the tank (he hates that thing), but quickly sulked in the spot he was in, when he quit running from the net (about 2 seconds). At this point, I'm strongly considering moving him to his 1 gallon tank. However, if anyone knows why my guy is acting like a bum - I would love to hear about it, b/c im clueless. And of course, if more information about the set up is needed - id be happy to provide details.
Moved him to small 1 gallon back up tank... lethargic towards the top at first... periodically laying around the bottom - nose pointed up. Ignoring the lone Worm i tossed in (but did inspect it at one point). Seems to be moving around a little bit now. But very slow.
