Can you heat a plastic tank?

I have a plastic un-filtered 2.5 gal that I want to use as a QT tank. I would like to get a 25 watt heater for it, but can you heat a plastic tank??

Also, wheres a good place to get/ a good brand of a 25 watt heater that is adjustable and has a thermostat?

I use plastic tubs for breeding and growing bettas. It's safe and no different than heating a glass tank.

I like those Hagen Elites, too. I'm glad I got a few when they were on sale. They're nice because they're short. Keeps temps stable even in a 5g.

A separate thermometer is always better than one in the heater, imho.

Thanks everyone. I found the heater I have in my 10 gallon, except it is 50 watts on sale. It'll cost me $10 with shipping! Being 50 watts I could use it as a back up for the 10 G too!
