Yup, that's pretty much the way I feel. I'd rather seem stupid asking and not make a terrible mistake that leaches into my tank and kills my boys. :( This board is wonderful for that, and everyone is so nice. :)

Blue fish, vinegar is only used to test rocks to see that they won't alter the pH. I don't think that the method would work on your toothbrush holder.
