Okay, so I recently switched my betta, Serendipity, and my mystery snails, Gary, Harley, and Quinn, to a 12 gallon tank, so I decided to get three more snails to help with the upkeep. Now, Serendipity is usually fine with Gary, Harley, and Quinn; he'll snap at them sometimes, but usually he just hangs out with them. However, I was watching when I added the three new snails to the tank, just to make sure they'd be fine. It took awhile, but finally one started to come out of his/her shell, and Serendipity promptly lunged at his/her face! I tapped on the glass and said, "Hey!" upon which he turned to look at me like, "What did I do?"

Then he swam around a bit and went to sulk near a fake scallop shell. I felt bad for the snail, but I couldn't help laughing. I think he just wanted the new snail to know he's the King. Either that, or he was curious. Gary, Harley, and Quinn are all black and the three new ones are gold.
