Help, please :)

I'm trying to figure out what type/age/gender my daughter's betta is. It'd be nice not to call it [he/she/it] all the time! LOL that and it just confuses a three year old LOL

Here are the pictures I could get of "Lucky" (which was very hard to do, so active! I think it's excited to be in a new, bigger tank)

Here are pics of Lucky in the new tanks. it's bare for now, but I'll let my daughter pick out somethings when she comes home from her visit in New York:

These may help with showing size too. Lucky is in a 5 gallon tank.

This Betta is really young so we can't identify it's gender. You have to call it "It" I guess. Since it hardly developed it's fins yet, I'll just guess. Might be a Spadetail or a Veiltail. It's still a baby so we can't know for sure. Those beautiful fins need to grow so you could know. Oh, that rhymed. :) Hope you find out soon!

hi! well like other members have said it may be to young to tell the gender, but when it gets older if its a female there will be a white egg looking dot on her belly. and for the type of fish it is you can check here and it has all the tails and stuff. http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=29868
its a lovely fish and i hope you figure all of this out!

Welcome to this website. It looks like a female but again it is to young to tell. Same with Comet, who is just 3 months old. It does look like a spade tail or a veil tail.

If I were to guess, I would say Veiltail female.
If it came from petco- a lot of times their females are very young and not fully grown yet. If it is a female, she will get an egg spot which kinda looks like a little tube type thing on her belly. Although I have heard some young males also have something that looks like an egg spot
